The short version: Settled doesn't collect your data. Receipts are read on your device, your splits are stored on your device, and we have no servers receiving anything about you.

What we don't do

Tips

Settled offers optional tips as in-app purchases. These are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details — Apple provides us only anonymous, aggregated sales reporting. Apple's handling of your payment information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Permissions

Both permissions are optional; you can enter bills manually without granting either.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data is stored only on your device, you are in full control of it. Deleting a split in the app deletes it permanently. Deleting the app removes all of its data. We hold nothing to delete on our side.

Children

Settled does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.

Future features

If we introduce features that involve our servers (for example, optional payment links or cross-device sync), those features will be opt-in, this policy will be updated before they launch, and the in-app experience will make clear what data is involved at the point you choose to use them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised date at the top.
